Improving air quality and combating climate change for better living conditions. The cleaner air ambitions can be achieved through zero-emission electric ships, renewable energy sources, and efficient energy management. The negative impacts of air pollution on health, tourism, and sensitive coastal ecosystems need to be addressed, as well as protecting marine biodiversity for sustainable development, planetary health, and human well-being. Ignoring these issues can threaten oxygen supply, economic stability, and vulnerable coastal communities. The program advocated for maintaining global warming below 1.5ºC and achieving carbon neutrality to enhance resilience and protect ecosystems and port economies. The vulnerability of ports and coastal communities to extreme weather events, which can compromise infrastructure and sustainability, requiring as well scoping resilience in port operations.  UK PACT, 2023
